Starting the day with the raciing at Southwell and of course using STW betting software and IRIS. IRIS show me exactly where the horses are in the race due to there being a transponder in the saddle cloth and technology to receive the signals.

In the first race I layed a horse that was flaggin at the back of the pack and I was even happier to see it fade even more towards the end of the race. I pplaced the bets at about the 3 furlong marker.

The next race I got a little more adventurous and laid the horse called Majic and then backed the winner. I did have some heart stopping moments at the end of the race when Majic opened up the throttle and put in a spurt to comer in second. I perhaps should have thought of backing the horse there which would have locked in some profit anyway. It worked out OK and the profit for the day is over 20 euro at the moment..

I just did the 3rd race and it was much more difficult to call. Tioga Gold an outsider won by the looks of it and I manageed to get a small back bet on it at the end. But I was too late to place a lay bet on one of the losers ans the odds had risen too high for me. So I am still on a winning streak with IRIS but I could have done better with that one. With it being a longer race than the previous and the horses were closely bunched at the 3 furlong to 2 furlong marker I could put on something and be sure that I was going to win some money. I will record the next race and you will see how it goes. It is a 1 mile sellers stks race. If you were into dutching of races you might give a sellers race a bit of a miss as they can be unpredictable.

I did make a recording of it but I wasn’t successfully in getting a bet matched. I tried for the back bet on the horse that won but I forgot to hold down the control key so that the bet would go in straight away. The confirmation window came up first and the odds would have changed too much by the time the order went in.

I recorded the next race and I was successful in placing a lay bet on a loser. I will edit the recording and and change the voice over to explain better what was happening during the race because the narration I did at the time is terrible I was talkinig complete and utter rubbish. Nothing different there then I hear you all say !!

There is another race on in 13 minutes and I might even record that one too.
