How to trade on football markets on a betting exchange

Browsing Posts tagged Newcastle United

The plan of action will be to trade the under 2.5 goals market and also to set up a dutch on the correct score. Newcastle will be looking to get a win under the hand of Kevin Keegan. Not turning out the hero he was expected to be for the Toon Army. Newcastle have lost the last 4 away games and have not won for some time, 12 games to be exact. The scoreline forecast on Soccerstats.com is for over 2.5 goals.

Birmingham need a win  due to being a bit close to the relegation zone but Newcastle are only 2 places above I expect it will be a hard fought game.

Here is the screenshot of the correct score dutch first.

Here is the screenshot of the Match Odds dutched  for a home win and a draw. I have set this up in Learning mode  in BetIE so that I can try it out without risking the betting bank.

I recorded a sequence of video with BinarySoft on Saturday and I just have to edit it, to get all of the bloopers out and  organise the narration a little. It will show how I did with the Villa vs Newcastle game. The final score was 4-1 to Villa and things did not go right at all. I will be commenting on how I could have done it better and  you will see that if a goal does go in early in a game all is not lost even if this game did end up badly for me. I think that learning from your mistakes is the best way to learn something and if you can learn from my mistakes too then it will be better for you. Less painful if you can let someone else have the problem and watch it happen.

I didn’t lose all my betting bank on this despite it looking really bad at the point where it was 3-1 to Villa. I was able to salvage the problem to a certain extent.

The trial I had with BetAngel has expired so I couldn’t use that unfortunately, although for what I was doing BinarySoft was just right anyway. Still like all the bells and whistles that are available in BetAngel anyway.

Since I made the video I did some more trading and won back some of the losses. Going back in the right direction again.

Loads of games on today including the 3rd place for the African Nations cup. I did a bit of trading on the semi finals the other day and made a bit more for the pot. My interest today is the Premiership games and I will continue my research with the dutching of the correct scores. I will use BetIE for that due to there being a learning mode that lets me test out strategies before using real money. Then for the Aston Villa vs Newcastle game at 12.45 I will be looking at the under 2.5 goal market as per usual.

I have a friend that is working a strategy at the moment where he lays the underdog in a game and greens up after the first goal. Obviously the catch to that is if the underdog scores first and you also have to know a bit about your football teams, although it is often the away team that is the underdog anyway. What he does is to trade out of the game to a loss if the underdog scores first and leave it alone. So far he says that it is a successful strategy.

I will be looking at BetAngel and Soccer Mystic for the information  and trading on the under 2.5 goal markets. I will also have the BinarySoft program open to do some testing for the trading.

With the  Aston Villa game it will be interesting to see how Kevin Keegan is getting on with Newcastle and what is his pplan for away games. He is said to like attacking exciting football for his team although it is not always a recipe for success. He has a great player there with Michael Owen anyway. I really thought he got a raw deal when he was at Madrid. He didn’t get enough games even though invariably when he did get to play he put the ball in the back of the net.

So good luck to you with your football trading today and lets make some money.
