The Footy Trader

England are playing today and will be beating the team of part timers from Andorra. I wonder if it is on the TV anywhere, should be lots of goals anyway. I don’t think I will be trading on the game but It could be interesting to see how it looks in terms of the Football cash Generator system. I will have to check and see what time the game is due to start. —-It starts in an hour. Now where is my copy of the FCG spread sheet.

Just looked at the odds on Betfair and it is not really do able. You do want one side to be a favourite but the price for the lay on the draw right now is 36. So you would need a large amount of money in Betfair to cover the liability 700 to be exact if you place 20 euro on it.  It will be interesting see what the odds go to after the first goal is scored anyway.

Spain vs Bosnia could be a better proposition for this the lay odds for the draw is at 9 right now and the back price for the nil nil is 22.

I have set the profit required as 25%
Insurance on the nil nil as 50%

The spreadsheet tells me that with a lay draw stake of €25
I should back the 0-0 with €4.75

The odds I need for the target of 25% profit are 16 or if 20% is OK 14.77.

I will have to watch the game now to see how the odds work out and hope that Spain can score first.

I see that Wales have got a goal in their game and won one nil at the final whistle. Scotland and Northern Ireland not faring so well. Scotland lost and Northern Ireland are losing one nil.

I tried trading on a horse today and it didn’t work out for me at all. I lost €0.44, so not a big problem as I was able to trade out.

I have also been trading on Basketball and I was doing really well with it, until I decided to get greedy and try one more bit of a trade. I was looking at €3.70 profit whatever the score and in the end I was left with a loss of €0.64. I don’t mind too much because it helps the learning experience with using BinarySoft BDI. Still happy to be using it.

At the moment I have a position on a Polish game Jagieglinia vs Korona with a profit of €4.04 sitting there waiting for me. I might do some more trading after the half time break or I might learn my lesson about a bird in the hand being worth more than 2 in the bush.

There is another game on late between AC Milan and Celtic I will probably trade on. In that I will be looking for a tick or maybe two and I will watch to see what the weight of money is doing. I don’t want another session like with the Manchester United game yesterday.

Update

At the end of the day I am down by €18.30 due to choosing the Shaktar vs Benfica game instead of the Milan vs Celtic. I lost 24.40 on the Shaktar game but I went to the Milan game to win €2.77 to compensate a little. I had €4.44 off the Polish game earlier after the Betfair commission fees.

Day Three

On day three I should have €103.03 in the betting bank. Good job I was a few days ahead of myself yesterday to be able to have stats that don’t look too bad today. The problem occurred because I got cocky with it and greedy. I was in the green or had the opportunity to be in the green on the Shaktar game but I let it run too long and there was an early goal. I tried to bring it back to small loss or nearly profit and just didn’t do a good enough job of it before the next goal came. I did trade out of it to a certain extent. But I could have had a profit on that one.

I could have ended the day easily 4 or 5 % in profit but didn’t because I wanted to trade some more. In the end I learned another lesson. At least I didn’t start to chase the losses, that would have been madness.

Tomorrow is another day…..

I will be trying to get back on target tomorrow I should finish with a bank of €104.06. I feel confident to be able to manage that anyway. Just get BinarySoft BDI busy working for me and not get too cocky with my trading.

My internet let me down again. The day started off OK and I was able to log in an make a post in the blog but when I went back to do some more there was no connection. I was thinking that I would have to some ringing of the provider and complaining on Monday morning again, second time in 2 weeks. But hey presto here we are again back on line, totally mysterious…..

Racing Place

Just checked out the results for yesterday and they showed a loss of nearly 14 points, not too healthy.

Yesterdays Results Profit = -13.95 Points
Races Bet on = 28
Races Won = 7
Strike Rate = 25 %

As can be seen in the monthly stats they started off well April through to July but went kind of downhill after that. You have to hope they are going to see a turn around some time soon.

I think I will just keep on watching Racing Place for a while longer.

Football Trading

I would have traded on the Northern Ireland game and possibly the Scotland games yesterday. The NI game would have worked out well but there was an early goal in the Scotland game. The 3rd goal came on the 90 minutes so it would probably have been OK in the end but would have taken some time to get to a trading out level I expect.

Lets see what happens today then….
